3/7/18 - 6’3/205, Junior. Allowed only three hits and one unearned run in seven innings on Friday pitching with a 90-93 mph fastball. Took a 1-hitter into the 6th. Showed an above average CB (78-81 mph) with short, hard break early in the game. As the game progressed, the break became longer, but the action was still effective. Poised and very competitive. Despite the effort in his delivery, he has been a consistent strike thrower throughout his career. There was some debate as to whether Deason is a starter or reliever at the next level. My vote goes to reliever due to the lack of a 3rd pitch. Potential Day 2 draft pick, most likely between rounds four-to-six.
