Riverside Co. Preseason All-State: The 47th ranked player in the Class of 2022 State Rankings, Miranda continues to show high end defensive skills that will make him a highly sought after prospect in due time. The footwork and glove/hands combination are on point with any shortstop in his class and his left-handed bat is beginning to show more consistency. There’s sneaky power that comes from a high leg kick trigger shifting all his weight back before driving off backside and thrusting barrel through the zone. Favors the opposite field while being able to drive the ball into the pull side gap.

Uncommitted. 5-foot-11, 165-pounds. Athletic, twitchy, wiry strong frame that oozes projection and has ample room for continued physical development. Posted a 7.40 laser-timed 60 yard dash to get the day started. Miranda showed a quick, smooth, left-handed line drive stroke that resulted in consistent barreling of the ball. Miranda showed some power in BP by one-hopping the base of the right field fence and putting together several quality at-bats in-game. Registered a 79 mph exit velocity off a tee. Defensively is where Miranda presently stands out with his level of athleticism, instincts, footwork and soft/quick hands. The arm is accurate and strong (79 mph position velocity) with life and run on throws.
