Boras Classic 3/27/18 - Utah signee. Saw a few games at 2018 Boras Classic. Big, imposing 6-foot-4 230-pound frame whose range and mobility around the bag makes one see past this size. Nimble feet, plays calm and smooth on defense, good reads on bad throws, works the bag well. Also played wide receiver for the school football team. Pronounced strength in his quads and back. Electric pop off his bat. Barrel in the zone throughout the swing as he hit two off speed pitches up the middle, lasered with loud contact. Consistently stayed in the middle of the field with that flat stroke. Power numbers will come as he has plenty of bat speed and the approach really works. No doubt he can hit in any count and be patient with two strikes. Aggressive mindset early in the count with the intent to drive / launch the ball.
