vs Valley Christian - Uncommitted; 6-foot-2, 190-pounds, had a very nice showing, building off what we saw of him last fall. He will be in the mix to be the #2 behind Harrison. Strong durable build with workhorse type body, 3/4 release and long easy arm action. Was letting the fastball go and it had some giddy-up, up to 88-89 mph and sat 85-87. The stuff is going to keep coming and there will be some sniffs of 90 mph in the spring. Smooth slider/slurve ball that has enough width to be effective if he can start it in the zone on a consistent basis. Really pitched well off the fastball and got numerous swings and misses with it. Look for him to really shine this spring.

PBR Norcal Uncommitted Senior Games - Physical 6-foot-2, 190-pounds with current strength and projectable build. Two strikeouts in his inning of work as he controlled the delivery using a long 3/4 release. Liked how he set hitters up and the ball jumped on hitters with his three strong pitches. FB 84-85 T87 moving it to both sides and having firm life in the zone. CHG 78 with bottom late on hitters. SLD 71-72 with 3/4 bend showing firm break able to manipulate and push off the plate for swing and misses. Demeanor and intensity were on display, giving off an air of confidence in both his stuff and ability to get outs. Looks to be one of the senior pitchers in the area to closely follow in the spring.

PBR Bay Area Open - Had a good pen session and looks like he's got a shot to get into the DLS rotation as a senior. Put together well at 6-foot-2, 190-pounds, strong but not physically mature, good legs with what looks to be natural upper body development. Delivery was on-line, compact backside arm action, keeps fingers above the ball well. Works over the rubber well and though he could incorporate a bit more front side stability with lead arm, he repeated his delivery/stride and maintained body control. Showed full three-pitch repertoire with some fastball run (81-83 mph), two plane curveball action (66-69 mph) that could use an uptick in spin and depth but he did show feel of. Change-up was intriguing, keeps fingers above the ball well and has a chance to use that pitch as a quality offering for quick outs and/or swings and misses. With continued physical development and some innings, there is quality development in his future, heading into his senior season.
