1/5/19- SoCal Preseason All-State - 6-foot, 185 pounds, wiry, athletic build, smooth on the mound and room for growth. Advanced pitcher for age, flashed quick arm speed, good balance, smooth rhythm, in line direction and a high three-quarter release point. Starts tall and drives towards home with hip drive and direction creating plus downward plane on the fastball. Falls off heavily towards first base when throwing curveball creating inconsistency and lack of command and feel. Plus change-up from the same release point as the fastball, lots of arm side movement and parachute like fade. Added strength and growth coupled with the development of a breaking ball should put him on the college radar.
1/5/19 - SoCal Preseason All-State Quick Hits - Uribe is the 15th ranked player in the state Class of 2021, continues to impress our team of scouts with his ability on the mound where he shows a riding fastball that he's able to spot to all quadrants of the strike zone backing it up with a slider that is a present out pitch and projects to be a plus pitch in the future. Mix in a fading changeup that he's able to put away lefties with and what you have a is a highly projectable pitcher that will continue to climb up the boards in the eyes of college recruiters.
8/18/18 - SoCal Underclass Games - Six-foot, 175-pounds, medium/large frame that has present strength throughout with room to add more. Uribe's arm is fast, loose and compact in the back with regular effort while staying relatively tall with the back leg. Lands square before falling off to the first bag side after release. Arm is explosive. Uribe was one of the statistical standouts on the mound touching 88 mph with the fastball. The pitch flashes cut action which he commands to both sides of the plate. Ball jumps out of his hands and gets on hitters in a hurry. Curveball is sharp with late break and 11/5 shape from a high ¾ arm slot. Uribe maintains arm speed with both pitches along with command and ability to throw strikes with both. Very projectable RHP who also plays third base but did not do so in this event.
