Rising Stars Showcase - Six-foot, 150-pounds, large frame that is lean and wiry strong throughout. Grieve oozes projection with his all around game particularly at the plate where his quick-to-fast hands allow him to whip the barrel through the zone on a consistent path. Shows feel and control for the barrel with a middle approach. Bat projects well with continued physical development and added strength. In the outfield Grieve uses his length to his advantage in gaining ground to get to balls showing off his excellent range. Arm is of average strength but shows some carry with accuracy to bags. Charges balls aggressively with a good understanding of angles and hops while playing through them after gathering. Gets from collecting ball to release quickly. Lots of athleticism in his actions in the outfield. Grieve is the son of former Big League Ben Grieve.
