6/2016 - Some length to swing with upper cut path. OK bat speed. Tall stance, starts slightly open. Slightly static set-up. Bat stays in the zone.
8/1/19: Athletic bodied at 6-foot-3, 190 pounds, Ramirez is back for his second stint in the Cape after leaving a good first impression last summer. His tools are similar as well with a plus arm, near average raw power and a below average run speed. He finished second on Chatham with a .279 batting average and just 13 strikeouts in 122 at-bats. He hits from a narrow stance and takes a leg lift load and stride. He loses his barrel a bit during his load and does not produce much torque as his hips open with his shoulders, affecting his bat speed and power. He does hit against a firm front side with a high finish and very good extension through the ball. Also showed very good hand/eye and plate discipline, seldom chasing out of the zone. Ramirez has the athleticism to jump into Day Two consideration with a big year at the plate next spring for the Trojans. (Seifert)
8/1/18: Slender, long bodied six-foot-three, 190 pound infielder with plus arm strength and a below average run tool. Ramirez hits with a narrow base and showed a mostly upper body swing which produced below average raw power and one extra base hit this summer. He must use his lower half more in his swing and try to tap into the leverage his frame naturally provides, to go along with his present average bat speed. As just a to-be sophomore, Ramirez has the athleticism, tools and time to develop his overall game for the 2020 draft. (Seifert)
