3/9/19: Average build with some present strength at 6-foot, 190 pounds. Philip moves easily at SS with fluid, clean actions. Gets the most out of average arm strength with quick exchange into short, compact throwing motion. Displays rhythm/tempo while fielding in-game. Never gets rushed or erratic. Average athlete who might lack elite foot speed but overall, he'll handle all the necessary, routine plays. Uses a balanced, athletic stance in the box. Starts slightly open while maintaining rhythm with the hands. Gathers weight back and times up pitcher with considerable leg kick. Soft landing with quiet head. Creates noticeable stretch/separation between hands and front side. Allows him to generate power to all fields. Barrel stays level throughout the zone with extension after contact. Launched 2 opposite field home runs. Oppo hits show true backspin, no slice. Hits with an aggressive approach in-game. Looks to do damage early. There's some swing and miss in his game but right now the power production is trumping that. Solid overall player. Lacks an elite, above average tool. (Jurik)
