10/13/18 - Physical build showing large frame with strength throughout including sloped shoulders and high waist/long leg combo. Offensively utilizes crouched stance with knees pointing inwards; high hands and high back elbow as bat bounces off back shoulder. Loads weight into back hip with hands moving down and into back shoulder as front leg lifts with tuck; screws back leg into ground while bat works on upward path with lift through contact and finishing over stiff front leg. In game power; HR on hanging Slider to deep LF. Average hand speed utilizing strength in body to do damage and swing with intent; swing projects to power bat. Fringe-average runner showing quick feet with shorter stride length (4.69 H-1st). In pre-game, showed fringe-average arm from longer actions with throws having flashes of online carry; better suited for LF at next level. Moves well in RF working to keep ball in front quadrant showing quick feet to beat ball to spot with angles.
7-13-2018: 6-foot-3, 200 pounds. Large bodied, athletic frame. At the plate he sported a narrow stance at the very back of the box. High hands near his head and a lot of pre-pitch movement. Really opened up on anything middle, to middle in. Long swing with quick bat speed, looking to pull his pitch. Barreled a hanging curveball in one of his at-bats, but buckled on any breaking pitch that started in. Didn’t look like he recognized spin well. In the field he had an average glove at third base and his armed worked well enough to play the hot corner. Clocked him at 4.3 down the line. Went two-for seven with a double, two walks and two strikeouts. (Jake Stone)
