7-17-18 - SoCal Underclass Trials II - 5-foot-6, 140-pounds, lean, wiry strong frame with room for continued physical development. Starts from a slightly open stance and uses a toe tap trigger to initiate swing. Shows surprising power and advanced feel for the barrel with a middle-middle approach. Hands are fast and keeps them inside on a direct path to the ball through extension. Uses his backside well. Defensively he shows clean footwork with excellent lateral movement. Has range to both sides. Charges balls with authority and excellent body control. Funnels balls out front and the exchanges are quick and clean. Arm has average strength presently but is accurate to the bag.
