11/10/18 California Senior Games - Five-foot-10, 150-pounds. Has a lean athletic body, strong frame for size. Ran a 7.28 60-yard dash. At the plate, he showed an open setup, with a smooth load, and a small leg kick, with a medium stride. He uses his lower half well to explode through the ball from a balanced setup. Both in BP and in-game he showed quick hands at the plate and was able to turn on the ball; good contact hitter. From the outfield throws from a longer throwing motion, outfield velo registered 78 MPH. Throws from an over the top motion, makes accurate throws. He has life and carry on his ball, does a nice job getting behind the ball and using the lower half. Has softer hands with good exchange and average footwork.
8/1/18 - Chiaramonte showed well all day and is an athletic, quick outfield that goes and gets the ball with good lines and fast feet. Shows clean transfers and quick, loose arm that flashes some carry and is accurate. At the plate he goes the other way very well with quick hands. Looks to be an ideal skills guy at the plate.
8/1/18 - (pitching) Five-foot-9, 145-pounds, small frame with lean, wiry strength throughout, squared shoulders with strength down through the arm to the wrists. Fast, drop & drive delivery with a short, compact arm in the back through to a high ¾ arm slot. Lands square to target in an athletic position. Fastball shows tailing action from the left side that he spots to both sides at the knees. Curveball, when thrown with conviction and proper mechanics, is a strong pitch with 11/5 shape and late sharp, breaking action. Changeup shows riding action with late fading action. Chiaramonte projects as a backend reliever at the next level.
