Body: 6-2, 190bs. Lean build. Longer limbs. Higher waisted. Room to add. Delivery: Side steps into a belt high knee tuck. Smaller sit. More tall/fall type. Controlled mover down the mound. Tight/high glove arm that ends some deception. Landing leg doesn't fully block. Good fielding position. Arm Action: Hand lead path that shoots out in the back and works into decent scap retraction. Gets some quality layback. Average armspeed. Releases to a 3/4 slot. FB: 81-83. Straight action. Average to below average IVB. Average RPM. Solid control in-zone (50%) SL: 68-70. Slower/sweeper shape. Minimal IVB and gets about 10 inches of sweep. More of a ball-strike pitch.
CT: 74-78. Gets some depth to by killing some IVB. Gets about 7 inches of sweep. 50% in-zone. Quality secondary if velo trends up.
8/17/19
PBR CA STATE GAMES - Tight, lanky frame showing core skills to keep building upon. Showed quick, compact swing collecting couple of hits and regularly squaring ball up. Even hands, tall in posture with direct actions having ability to stay inside the baseball. Went two innings with 1 hit and 1 K. H-3/4 release from compact swing keeping hands tight to the body and having rigid front side; arm showed quickness out front that can have more jumps in velocity. FB 67-71 showing sink through the zone. CB 61-63 showed projectable shape with tight spin and small depth over 12/6 shape.
7/23/19
Very deliberate, under control and slow to the plate. Early stages of getting a feel for pitching but moving in the right direction. Commanded the zone well with a fastball at 66-71 mph, curveball with some drop at 56-59 mph and a fading change-up at 66 mph.
