There’s a reason Martin is the #1 player in BC’s 2024 class. The North Dakota State commit is one of the top two-way players in the country. The 6-foot-1, 180-pound shows athleticism on both sides of the ball. Sits comfortably in the high-80s with the fastball which is his most effective pitch, generating lots of swing & miss all around the zone. Has a curveball with depth that he can use early in the count for strikes, but also efficiently later in the count to put away hitters. At the dish Martin is just as effective, using a toe-tap to get on time and drive the ball on a line back up the middle consistently, while also showing the ability to go the other way with authority. The 2024 standout will look to dominate on both sides of the ball when the season gets underway.

2024 RHP/INF Tate Martin was a standout two-way player at the tournament with the ability to truly impact a game on the mound or at the dish. Came out of the bullpen in the semi-finals for his second appearance and once again flashed a fastball that sat comfortably in the upper 80s. Two-pitch mix right now with a fastball and curveball and fills up the zone with both. Swung the bat well throughout the entire week with a quiet, rhythmic swing from the right-side and there’s some strength in there at 6-foot-1, 180-pounds with the ball jumping when he finds the barrel. One of the top uncommitted prospects in BC.

In a game with several high-profile arms on the mound, ‘24 RHP/INF Tate Martin (uncommitted) may have shown the best stuff. 6-foot-1, 180-pound right-hander with clean delivery and arm action. Worked off the fastball and consistently got ahead with it, sitting 86-89mph and getting plenty of swings and misses. There’s feel for the breaking ball with vertical action at 72-74mph and he’s comfortable with the pitch, although he didn’t need it much as he was beating hitters with the fastball. Highly intriguing uncommitted 2024 arm on the West Coast who can also provide value on the offensive side.
