This North Delta Blue Jays product showed decent pop to right field with a smooth left-handed swing and comfortable loft. He consistently found barrel with the right launch angle in his rounds of batting practice, and with strength gains, he projects as a good power lefty that can be serviceable at both catcher and first base. Behind the dish, DuBreuil had a calm body with comfortable receiving out of the one-knee stance. He kept strikes in the zone without negative movement after contact and demonstrated easy blocking from the one-knee stance. At first, he moves laterally decently and is not afraid to body up a ground ball to get the job done. Malakai is an intriguing talent to watch throughout the coming seasons.
