Bushey’s physicality is easy to get excited about as at 6-foot-3 200-pounds, Bushey has some size to a smooth lefty swing that can only get quicker. He runs a good 7.04 60-yard dash for a big man and moves well around the corner infield spots. With age, he will likely continue to build on some size, and with the addition of some functional strength and movement, he will enjoy building on his 93 MPH exit velocity. He has a smooth swing from a tall stance and moves forward well, holding onto his rear hip hinge smoothly through his swing. He shows a comfortable loft in his level swing and useful extension through the ball. Bushey is a player that coaches and scouts are excited about in the lower mainland and is a guy to watch as he continues to mature and develop into his body.
10/24/20
Bushey has made some noticeable strides in his game over a short amount of time, especially on the ball's defensive side. He showed improved footwork and looked smoother at 3B. However, the bat is still Bushey's calling card as his smooth left-handed swing plays at any level. Swings with an upward bat path from a tall, high hands stance created hard contact in the air to all parts of the ballpark. He passes the eye test at a solid 6'3/200 and runs well for his size at a seven-flat. A top-end college recruit for '21 and continued improvements to defence and swing, Bushey could hear his name in the conversation for even higher levels come draft time.
