We saw Robinson at Whalley last month as well, and he showed consistency in his velocity range on both dates. He sat 82-84MPH on his fastball with a downhill plane from a high ¾ arm slot. His CB ranged at 66-67MPH with decent action. His change-up was deceptive at 76-77MPH with some arm-side movement and good intent with the pitch. With continued added strength and a focused off-season could result in a great rotational option for the Cardinals in the spring and a great get for a college, next class.

Off the mound, Robinson showed an above-average fastball with good command. Lived 83-85 with a downhill plane. Clean mechanics with a high leg lift, stays over the rubber for a long time, and delivers from a high arm slot, almost right over the top. He drives well towards the plate and gets into his rear leg well right before foot strike. Breaking ball had 11-5 break to it, lived around 65mph, would benefit from throwing it harder, but because the arm slot can be a great pitch. Showed the ability to keep the changeup down in the zone and worked it 8-10 mph off his fastball with some late arm side sink to it. Robinson fits the mould of a dependable three-pitch college arm, and with room to grow in his frame, adding velocity to all his pitches is not out of the question.
