5-foot-11, 170 pound, Croxford has had a breakout summer with the Canyon Thunder as he goes into his junior year at Liberty High School. The 12th ranked OF in the state has shown the Arizona staff his athletic ability posting a 6.92 60 at a previous event that translates in the outfield and on the bases. At the plate, Croxford uses the middle of the field and, with added strength, could be a potential gap to gap power type hitter. In the outfield Croxford has a HTQ slot with quick glove to throw skills. We look forward to seeing Croxford in the Fall and Spring seasons as he is a high follow for the Arizona staff.

5-foot-10 170 pounds, great athlete with strength throughout. Tools are there, good prospect to follow with added development. (Running) 6.92 runner in the 60. Improved from previous time of 7.05 a couple weeks prior at Phoenix Open. (Offense) RH. Max EV 95. Max Dist. 326. Strong in set up. Shoulder width base with athletic bend in the knees. Hands held at the back shoulder with some rhythm to the hands. Loads into back leg with a direct stride. Small coil into hip when loading. Hips and shoulders can tend to fly before contact. Has strength and bat speed, if the body can gain consistency we’ll see more consistent hard contact and ball flight. Gap-to-gap power potential bat. (Defense) (OF) RH. OF velo 87. Good athlete, approaches the ball ball aggressive and confident. Has some arm speed. #2 OF velo of the event. Throws were through the cut and in a spot to handle. Arm showed well with room to grow.
Game action: 1-2 1B, BB, SB
5/31/22
5-foot-10 170 pounds, strong and athletic build. (Running) 7.05 runner in the 60 yard. Powerful runner, cleaning up technique will increase time. Potential to be a plus runner. (Offense) RH. Max EV 96. Max Dist 349. Base is at shoulder width in set up, slight bend in the knees, square to pitcher with hands held just above shoulder with some rhythm to the hands/upper body. Up and down stride, can land open on occasion. Bat speed, strength and gap-to-gap XBH potential. Has some early action with the hips that can create some length/barrel inconsistencies. Swing path is short and direct, creates some natural loft. When timing is right, and body is under control, contact is hard and balls are driven to gaps.
