5-foot-10 185-pounds, looks bigger than numbers would suggest, XL frame with some strength & durability, overall stiff actions. Starts from relaxed upright base with slight bent back knee. Leg kick trigger, back foot stays connected to ground at front foot strike. Opposite field approach, getting started late at times. Looks to hit the ball in the air with a slight upper-cut swing plane. Hard contact at 89mph. Heavy footwork in the OF, ran an 8.20 60-yard dash. 78mph arm strength.
1/27/19- 5’10 185-pound frame. Although the numbers don’t jump off at you, Moore is one that plays above those numbers. He had an impressive day at the plate squaring up balls with his 85 MPH exit velo. He starts with a square stance, using a slight hover and occasional toe tap for his timing and load. The pull side approach saw him put together tough at bats and hitting balls hard in game play. Outfield arm 76 MPH, which will most likely limit him to left field in college. As athleticism continues to get better, could be a solid bat in the lineup every day at the next level.
10/14/18 - 5-foot-10, 185-pound frame with thick lower half. Really improved at the plate, and showed better as a position player on this look. Works from a knee knocking load and a partially pre-fired lower half. Generates some pop and lift with his uphill bat path, having added significant rhythm to the stance and working through the ball much better since we saw him last. Posted 84 mph exit velocity. Presently profiles more as a 1B due to foot speed, but worked out in the OF. Posted 75 mph OF velo and 7.97 60-yard dash. On the mound, showed an uptempo delivery from 3/4 arm slot at 75-78 mph. Curveball has gotten better with added arm speed, sitting 66-68 mph. Continues to showcase a developing CH at 71 mph. Overall athleticism will need to continue to develop.
1/28/18 - 5-foot-8, 175-pound frame. Two-way prospect showed best on the mound where he worked 75-78 mph with his mostly straight fastball from a high ¾ arm slot. Pitched exclusively from the stretch. Also mixed in big 61-63 mph curveball and 65 mph developing changeup. Offensively, hits from quiet, balanced setup with short stride. Virtually no moving parts in setup/swing, creating some stiffness. Made some hard contact to the middle of the field in BP; 84 mph exit velocity. Moves comfortably in the outfield and turned in 75 mph outfield velo with same arm action we saw on the mound. 7.97 60-yard dash.
