5-foot-11 140-pound build, thin athletic build, limited strength currently, young body, still physically maturing. Hits with slightly open stance with feet shoulder width apart. Used small leg kick trigger, landing slightly closed with some weight on frontside. Loads hands slightly up and back, turning barrel early at the start of the swing at times. LD approach with 78mph exit velocity. Wide straight up secondary stance defensively with raised backside. Hand just behind glove. Flexible and mobile in primary stance. Showed some quick feet defensively. Short arm action with minimal extension to 2B, standing up at times. 2.15-2.30 pop times with 67mph arm strength. Good glove control when receiving. Showed some versatility in the INF. Solid footwork with some quickness. Fielded ball slightly out in front, funneling ball to belt buckle. Stabbed at backhand. 69mph arm strength across the diamond.
12/15/19
Medium build at 5’11” 144lbs, immature frame with some present athleticism, hits from a medium very slight open stance, leg lift stride landing balanced at heel plant, loads to back part of shoulder, loses barrel as goes to ball getting inverted at contact, 75 mph exit velocity, versatile athlete defensively as an INF & catcher, fields ball out in front in low athletic position bringing ball to the center of his body, behind the plate has quick transfers at times should improve with quicker feet and more explosiveness, overall accurate arm with 2.15-2.45 pop times, numbers should improve across the board as he physically matures.
5/15/19
5’9 135-pound frame. Starts slightly open, striding to get square, using his lower half well to get the bat starter. Barrel works into the zone well with good extension. As strength increases, all numbers will jump quickly, matching his movements. Behind the plate, he has a clean transfer from keeping his off hand close to his glove. Works around the ball well, to start his turn before he catches the baseball. Got around the ball well, will need to keep momentum to get better hops and increase arm strength and carry on his throws.
3/31/19
5’9 135-pound frame. Starts slightly open using a leg kick for timing and to load into back side. Hands and leg kick stay in rhythm, both loading at the same time. Barrel tip helps creates batspeed behind the zone. Middle approach with multiple line drives. 69 MPH exit velo. Timing of footwork will need to improve on the infield. Moves well laterally with 69 MPG arm strength across the diamond.Behind the plate was a 2.2 pop time at the lowest with most throws around the bag. Good quick transfer.
Fastball up to 75 MPH from a high ¾ arm slot. Stays in line with target. Works well over front side. Spun breaking ball well at 61-62. Change up was thrown with good arm speed and stayed down in the zone.
