SS/3B Brylen Brown (Desert Vista, 2024)
6-foot-2 170 pounds, longer build with room to add strength. Good athlete, just needs to fine tune some parts of his game. (Running) 7.03 runner in the 60. Ran a 6.92 a couple weeks prior at Phoenix Open. (Offense) RH. Max EV 93. Max Dist. 285. Simple and athletic set up in the box. Longer levers with a handsy swing. Inside path to the baseball with loose swing mechanics. Struggles with timing and adjustability. When on time he is in a great spot to hit and the swing path is direct. When timing is off, body stays put and he finds himself out front and struggling to stay on the baseball. Contact was to the top half of the ball, majority GB contact. (Defense) (IF) RH. IF velo 80. Good build for SS position. Loose arm action from HTQ slot. Room for improvement with footwork, feet can get stuck at times. Ability to throw from lower slots if needed. Quick hands on DP turn. Glove is pretty efficient, no wasted movement. Room for added fluidity with the glove, should improve as footwork improves.
Game action: 1-2 1B, BB

SS/3B Bylen Brown (Desert Vista, 2024)
6-foot-2 170 pounds. (Running) 6.92 runner in the 60 yard. Long strides, moves very well over distance. Cleaning up his start will increase time. (Offense) RH. Max EV 89. Max Dist 279. Loose and relaxed set up in the box. Weight is evenly distributed with a wider base. Hands held softly at the back shoulder. Very small up and down stride, almost no stride. Very little head movement, no moving parts, swing is simple. Bat path is loose and inside the baseball. Can struggle with timing, gets out front. When early he creates pull side gb contact. When on time produces back spun live drives to middle/off side. More consistency with timing and body positioning is key for him. Bat speed and bat path is there. (Defense) RH. IF velo 79. Good build for SS position. Good athlete, but much room for improvement to foot work. Arm action is loose from a ¾ slot. Arm has some whip to it. Will play from left side. Infield ability hinders on improvement with footwork and reading hops. Glove work is average, will see improvements when the footwork increases.
