3-7-2018: Listed at 6-foot-1, 259-pounds, Gonzales has a thick, stocky frame. The right-hander works from a high slot with a short, quick arm stroke and regular effort. His fastball sat mostly at 94-95 mph in his first inning out of the pen with some angle and arm side run. In his second inning, he was mostly 91-93, but was still able to reach back and go get a 94-95-and-96. Was not able to locate a secondary pitch, which at first glance, seemed to be a changeup, but after two more looks it appears to be a split-finger fastball at 87 and 89 mph. (Bicknell)
