Brent Sollars has a long and lanky build with much room to grow. He continues to impress with his whole field approach with power to the big part of the field and barrel consistency. We've already seen Sollars drive balls deep to the middle/off side, and he did it again in game 1 vs Missouri. Sollars drove in a run with a deep double that beat the CF over his head. Sollars plays a clean outfield and has upside with the arm. We look forward to seeing Sollars off the mound as we advance through the JFG tournament.
6/21/22
Taller frame with existing athleticism and room to add mass. Good runner with a 7.17 60 time. Some pre-pitch movement before loading with a bigger leg kick. Leans back with the torso before rotating. Hands move upwards, effectively on plane (per Blast). Encouraging bat path for line-drives, could be able to drive gap-to-gap with significant added strength/mass. Athletic movements in the outfield, great footwork to the ball and quick transfer from glove to release. Looks to develop well as a defender.
