2022 C Alex Londono (Salpointe Catholic)- 5-foot-10, 168-pounds, large frame, proportionately built, some present strength. Sets up in a squared base with slight knee bend, weight neutral. Sways into backside with small leg lift. Loads to back foot with semi vertical barrel. Long swing with barrel working backwards as he starts down swing, quick hands. Looked to hit the ball in the air while generating above average bat speed, 90.22mph exit velocity via trackman. Hit a 3B & 2B on line drives to the RCF gap in live game action. Athletic primary stance behind the plate with some flexibility. Firm hands, relax & catch approach with some late movement to the ball. Stagger stance in secondary, not a ton of wasted movement on transfer. Short arm with high back elbow, slight above average arm strength, 2.07-2.15 pop times.
6/23/20
5-foot-10 155-pounds, lean build, balanced frame, strong legs. Sets up in a semi spread out base with back knee inside foot. Leans into back leg more in leg lift. Showed some natural pop and ability to lift at 93mph exit velocity. Releases barrel early with above average bat speed. Starts in lower modified secondary behind the plate with throwing hand near glove. Transfers to side, wrapping wrist. OT arm action opening chest early. 70mph arm strength, 2.0- 2.14 pop times. Also threw from the OF on the day throwing 75mph.
6/12/19
5’10 155-pound frame. Starts with a wide base hovering foot back toward rear foot before working back forward as pitch comes in. Hands stay shoulder height. Works into the zone early but hands get low creating a longer bat path. Exit velo was 87 MPH. Got to ball quickly in the outfield using a crow hop to keep momentum towards target. Throws at 75 MPH. Behind the plate had a pop time of 2.12-2.23m gaining a lot of ground while throwing to 2B. Arm was 70 MPH from the crouch
6/6/18 - 5-foot-10, 155-pound frame. Has made some noticeable swing improvements since we last saw him in May which has yielded more bat speed and a better exit velocity of 77 mph. Improved load, rhythm, and weight transfer. Front leg stabilizes better into contact. Defensively worked out behind the plate where he posted pop times ranging from 2.22 - 2.37 seconds. Moved aggressively on throws toward bag and when blocking; 77 mph catcher velocity. Also ran a 7.45 60-yard dash.
5/20/18 - 5-foot-10, 155-pound frame with a strong lower half. Hits from tall setup with short stride, creating a very narrow base. Tends to get out over and collapse front side in swing. Made some line drive contact to LCF during his round of BP; 73 mph exit velocity. Solid 7.33 60-yard dash for freshman prospect. Posted 71 mph outfield velo from high arm a lot. Also worked out at catcher where he is a willing blocker with noticeable energy and posted a best pop time of 2.12 with 67 mph velocity.
