1/27/19 – 6’3 180-pound frame with high waste and long levers. Good extension on release, working into and over front leg well. ¾ arm slot that worked 79-80 MPH. Will make big jump in velo as strength comes. Showed potential for big time sinker, showing significant sink and run on his fastball when down. Works mainly to arm side. Breaking ball at 70-72, solidified potential to be sinker/slider guy with inverted V, making pitches look the same for a long period of time until breaking either way. Threw change with good arm speed at 74 MPH, adding depth to the pitch.
10/14/18 - 6-foot-3, 180 pound high waisted and lean frame. One of the quicker arm actions seen on the day. Added strength with see velocity numbers climb quickly. Fastball sat 81-82 mph with command to both sides of the plate. Curveball (73-74 mph) has more of SL type action, but could be potentially do to a soft front side with secondary offerings. Consistent command of the CH to the arm side helps round out Koski’s arsenal.
