Broome begins in a balanced stance with a compact load and utilizes a small leg kick. Bat speed is fairly quick as he uses an upward loose swing plane and high finish. Found some barrels in his rounds showing an up the middle approach. While in the infield, registered his best throw across the diamond at 78 mph with sure hands, choppy footwork, and a clean exchange. Behind the plate, he made throws to 2B up to 71 mph and showed a clean exchange and smooth footwork. Showed pop times of 2.11-2.18 from an athletic setup. Nice accuracy to the bases, used a short arm action and a high ¾ slot.

Bat speed is raw, shows upward swing plane and high finish. He Barreled up multiple balls with some loud contact. Gap to gap approach. In the infield, his best throw was registered at 73 mph; has soft hands, a clean exchange, and consistent feet. Shows out front glove work. While catching, throw downs to second were maxed at 69 mph; had sure hands, and developing footwork. Consistently had pop times of 2.34-2.42. Quiet setup with above average flexibility. Showed a short arm action with an-over-the-top slot. Recorded a 60 time of 8.11 at the event.
Trevor Broome (2022 C/3B, Grissom HS) 5’7 163 lbs- 6.5.18 an IF that did some good things at the showcase. He had a nice, compact swing that drove balls through the IF during his BP round. His exit velo off of a tee was 76 mph. At catcher, he showed off quicks hands and above average footwork. He kept all balls in front of him when he was blocking and had good form.
Trevor Broome (2022, C/3B, Grissom) 5’7 163 lbs- 7.10.18- a young player, he has some very good actions that will only get better as he continues to grow and mature. His IF work was good but can use a wider base with his feet and threw 64 mph across the infield. He ran the 60 in 8.59 and showed some pull side pop with a 76 mph exit velocity.
