1.20.19- Another very athletic catcher that shows nice flexibility behind the plate. Presented a low target and was very quiet with little movement when sticking pitches on the corners. Nice arm strength with pop times in the 2.0 range. Slightly open stance at the plate with an athletic setup and nice hands staying inside the ball. Showed some pull side pop with a slightly tilted bat path.
9.9.18- another solid catching prospect from this event. Very athletic with a good build an a good understanding of the game. Behind the plate, he does a good job of receiving and a solid presentation on the catch. His set up behind the plate is very solid and has solid arm action with a quick transfer. His pop times were in the low 2.0’s all day with a best of 2.00 and throws were on the bag. Offensively, he has a high leg kick approach but timing seems to be good. Creates some tilt in his swing and shows pop to all fields while staying through the zone. Really showed some hustle all day.
Ryan Wilcutt (2019, C, Jasper) 6’0 170 lbs.- 7.19.18- an athletic catcher than ran the 60 in 7.27 seconds. Offensively, he has a high leg kick approach that creates pop as shown in his BP round filled with loud contact and an exit velo of 91 mph. Really attacks the baseball. Behind the plate, he showcased an event best 1.95 pop and 75 mph exit velo.
