(2022) Last threw on Saturday, but was called on in a big situation for the Bulldogs in Wednesday night’s contest and he delivered. Coming in in a relief role, Harris inherited two runners on and no outs, and efficiently worked out of the jam. During his two innings, Harris spotted up his 84-87 mph fastball to both corners well. He induced weak contact and ground balls due to some sink on the pitch. He’s go-to pitch deep in the count was a sharp breaking ball that was tough against right-handed hitters. He commanded it well to his glove side during the outing. At 6-4, 180 pounds, Harris has a frame that you can dream on, and it’s a fairly low-effort delivery and the ball comes out clean. He was up to 90 mph in January, so we know there’s arm strength in that frame.
1/17/21
6-foot-4, 176-pound proportional frame. Advanced on the mound, showed lightning arm speed with a high ¾ arm angle and a very quick arm action. Drop-and-drive type pitcher who uses easy effort. Has consistent balance point. Produced a fastball that came in at 86-87 mph and topped out at 90 mph; showed very consistent control and running action. Has command around the zone and late action on his 12/6 curveball (68-74). His changeup (81-82) shows fading action and arm side control.
4/28/19
Slender frame with plenty of room to fill out with nice athletic actions. Nice job tracking balls with nice arm strength (83 mph OF velo) and accurate throws from the OF. The ball seemed to really take off out of his hand. Offensively, he started from an open stance with a nice load of the hands showing a consistent gap to gap approach. Showed some twitch in the hands. On the mound, he is very projectable with a very loose and showed nice plane on his fastball. Good rhythm in the delivery with a FB up to 80 with ASR and the The breaking ball took nice slider type action
