Offensively, the ‘22 grad started with an open stance and a nice load of the hands to trigger the swing. Had some slight tilt in the swing and showed some middle of the field pop. Consistent middle of the field during BP. Has nice footwork and solid feel with the glove in the infield. Really liked the preset actions before fielding the ball with nice arm strength for a ‘22. On the mound he was up to 77 mph with the FB that showed some “cut” to it. The breaking showed nice depth and had some tight spin to it.
Young player (2022) that showed fundamentally sound approach to the game. Will continue to develop as he adds strength and matures physically. Fashed a nice glove and showed some nice footwork, especially on the ball to his glove side with a quick transfer. At the plate, he had a slightly open stance and a quiet, simple approach with not much wasted action. Did a nice job of staying inside the ball which resulted in a middle of the field approach. Every ball he hit was in the middle of the field during BP. Did a nice job of staying on the ball though contact.
