6/25/20
6-foot, 140-pound lanky frame. Clocked a 60 time of 7.2 at the event. Started in a tall stance with a controlled load, then used a short stride to start his swing. Has quick bat speed, upward swing plane and good extension on his finish. Created some loud contact during his round. Up the middle approach. the right-handed hitter clocked an exit velocity of 77 mph. Above average in the outfield, his best throw of the day was clocked at 78 mph; has smooth footwork and a clean exchange. Consistent accuracy to the bases, used a loose arm action and an-over-the-top slot. Projectable on the mound, showed a long arm action and above average arm speed. Feel type pitcher and shows easy effort. Threw his fastball 79-80 mph and topped out at 82 mph; showed very consistent control and sinking action. Showed swing and miss action and in the zone command on his curveball (69-71). His changeup (72-74) shows fading action. Will be interesting to follow this '24 grad in the years to come.
