Listed at 5-foot-5 and weighing in at 125 pounds, Roland is a solid middle infielder that can also pitch. At the plate Roland made solid contact spraying the ball to all fields during BP and had an exit velocity of 75 mph. He has a quick right-handed swing that gives him the potential to be a solid gap-to-gap hitter at the next level. On the infield Roland showed quick feet and a good glove while also throwing across the diamond with high intent resulting in a velocity of 69 mph. On the mound Roland had a simple delivery and a compact arm action that led to his fastball topping out at 71 mph. He also threw a changeup and a curveball with the latter being his better offering. Overall, Roland is a very solid athlete and projects to be a better hitter than a pitcher down the road.
