Chas Wheatley did not have his best stuff on this day but the projectable frame is still there. He featured a fastball at 77-79 mph with very hard run to his arm side. He has a long arm but it is still very quick, he lacked intent on this day which could have led to his command not being what it normally is. The tools on the mound are there and he will continue to improve as he matures, will be an intriguing follow as he grows as a pitcher.

Standing at 6-foot-6 180 pounds, Wheatley towered over the rest of the field at the CCPS 2018 event. Chas had a very clean arm action with a low ¾ release allowing the ball to effortlessly run to his arm side topping out at 84 mph. Showed flashes of a good changeup but his clear out pitch is his slider that broke more vertically than horizontally. With a balanced delivery and an intimidating frame, Wheatley will definitely be an intriguing arm to follow.
