2023 Cardel Dick (Nebraska-Omaha) stole the show at the Best of the West, taking home MVP honours. He seemed to reach base multiple times in each game, typically with an extra-base hit in there and was the driving force in the Vauxhall offense throughout the week. He also impressed with his ability to standout at multiple positions on the field, playing a strong game behind the dish against North Shore and showing confidence and the ability to make plays on the infield, as well. Potentially an under the radar player before the tournament, but has no-doubt put himself in the conversation as one of the more well-rounded 2023 players in the country.
5/05/23
2023 C Cardel Dick (Nebraska - Omaha commit) has put together one of the best overall performances through the first three days of the tournament. Handles the arms well and despite his smaller stature at 5-foot-10, 190-pounds, he plays big behind the dish. Flashed his hit tool these past two days picking up several base hits including a home run to the pull-side that he was all over. May not have the loudest tools at the tournament but continues to perform at a high-level against good talent. Has no-doubt been one of the most productive players throughout the tournament so far.
