OAK CREEK VS MENOMONEE FALLS

By: Maddox Durst
Staff Writer

+ RHP Cail Geiger, Menomonee Falls, 2026

Uncommitted, Geiger provided an upside look in a relief appearance for Menomonee Falls this past Saturday—touching 90 mph with the FB while ranging in the upper-80s throughout his 1.1 innings of work. Stands at an athletic 5-foot-11, 187-pound frame. Came on and escaped a jam right away, striking out three of the six batters he faced versus a competitive Oak Creek lineup. Smooth, efficient delivery that allows him to use his lower half and drive down the mound in a repeatable fashion. Complemented the FB with a sharp BB, thrown consistently for strikes, while being used as an out-pitch. Spins well, and has done so in multiple looks. Geiger was a winner from the winter, and has continued to raise his stock as one of the top uncommitted right-handed pitchers in Wisconsin’s 2026 class.

+ RHP Jayden Forbes, Menomonee Falls, 2025

Uncommitted, Forbes put together a stellar junior season for Menomonee Falls as a starting pitcher, and looked the part on Saturday. Presents himself in a strong 6-foot-1, 203-pound frame, continuing to mature as he develops. FB played in the low-80s throughout, peaking at 82 mph. Effectively placed in the strike zone—avoiding barrels, hard contact consistently. Flipped up a high-spin BB in the low-70s that kept hitters off balance. Strides down the mound and releases from a high ¾ slot, emerging as one of the top arms to follow from the Greater Metro Conference, and beyond. Earned and accepted an invite to the Wisconsin State Games for later on this summer—priming himself for an important couple of months.

+ OF Nate Schopf, Oak Creek, 2025

Uncommitted, Schopf provided some powerful, aggressive swings on Saturday—including what proved to be the game-winning double in the latter half of the matchup. The right-handed batter stands at an athletic 6-foot-1, 197-pound frame, showcasing above average bat speed and a whippy barrel in multiple looks at the plate. Swings hard and utilizes his lower half in an effective fashion—demonstrating easy power to the pull-side. Strong, accurate arm in the outfield. Did not see much action on Saturday, but has shown well defensively in the past. Currently ranks at No. 29 in Wisconsin’s 2025 class, fresh off of a successful showing at the Prep Baseball Future Games back in the summer of 2023.

NOTRE DAME ACADEMY VS MANITOWOC LINCOLN

By: Josh Fields
Area Scout

+ RHP Avery Duncan, Notre Dame Academy, 2024

Dallas Baptist commit, currently the fifth ranked prospect in the state’s senior class and an ascending prospect nationally. Athletically built at 6-foot-3, 190-pounds with more room to fill out. Possessing some of the better arm talent in the state, a loose and athletic arm action with arm speed. Duncan has continued to show improvement in his ability to repeat his delivery, as his strikes have ticked up since his junior year. Sitting 89–92 mph with his fastball T93 and flashed feel to throw to different quadrants of the zone. Duncan went to his hard slider as his go-to secondary, flashing sharp, his slider sat in the 81-85 mph range throughout. Duncan continues to impress across each outing and is a must-see as he wraps up his prep career.

+ RHP Noah Wech, Manitowoc Lincoln, 2024

Oklahoma State commit, currently the fourth ranked prospect in the state’s senior class. Standing in at 6-foot, 187-pounds with swing-and-miss stuff. Mostly two-pitches in this look, a riding fastball that got up to 95 mph while sitting in the 90-93 mph range. Wech went to a firm 79-83 mph curveball as his go-to offspeed pitch, he gained more feel for the pitch as his outing went on, late in the outing the pitch showed swing-and-miss action. Wech has been one of the more consistent performers across the WIAA for some time now, paired with a swing-and-miss arsenal Wech is one of the more dynamic players in the state.
