“Spielmann is a projectable two-way player with tremendous upside behind the plate and on the mound. At the plate, it’s a simple load and an efficient use of the lower half to hit line drives to all fields. His extension through the ball contributed to his strong 92.5 mph exit velocity. Behind the dish, Spielmann has a quick, clean transfer with good direction and balance to allow him to make accurate throws to second base. His 2.00 pop time and 7.21 60-yard dash were top-three numbers among catchers of all classes. On the pitching side, Spielmann reached 83 mph with the fastball, an offering that has some tilt through the zone. The curveball has depth at 67-70 mph, while his changeup showed run at 73-75. Spielmann was one of the top all-around 2027s at the South Milwaukee event, a big name to watch this year.”

“Sturdy frame at 6-foot-1, 180-pounds with a strong lower half. Impressed with the bat on Saturday. From the left side, Johns sets up with rhythm before utilizing a simple leg lift to deliver the barrel through the zone with quick hands. He showed some power to the opposite field, as he smacked a double to the wall that brought home two runs in New Berlin Eisenhower’s win. Throughout their two games of the day, he showed a quality approach as he worked deep into the count in a majority of his at-bats. Despite being an underclassmen, he was one of the vocal leaders on this team, and he exudes confidence while on the diamond, something that is certainly noteworthy.”

It’s a flat path that gets long through the strike zone, and he’s shown the ability to spray line drives to all fields. On the dirt, Cummings has smooth and athletic actions on the left side of the diamond to pair with an arm that plays from multiple slots and on the move. Cummings will continue to be an athletic up-the-middle defender as he matures and has a chance to stick at shortstop moving forward. Cummins started the spring on the shelf due to injury and should return back to full health towards the end of the high school season.”

“Liggon was measured at a long, athletic and projectable 6-foot-4, 178-pounds. With the bat he hits with a wide base and a quiet load, staying balanced throughout the swing allowing him to consistently barrel up the baseball with control of the barrel. He’s shown a free and easy feel to the swing while watching the ball jump off the bat, registering 91.7 mph max exit velocity. On defense, the third baseman has a quick first step and controls his body well working through the ball with quality actions. It was another quality look at the sophomore with a ton of upside.”

The righty was one of just two arms in his class to hit 90 mph, sitting 88-89 mph with huge arm-side run. His sharp mid/upper-70s breaking ball complimented his fastball well with depth, a true swing-and-miss pitch. Geiger also showed a changeup at 80-81 mph with heavy fade at the bottom of the zone. His fastball was clean out his hand with life, playing with ride and run through the zone while sitting in the mid-80s (T87.5 mph). He also showed an impressive feel for a low-70s curveball which he was able to consistently spot up in the lower quadrant of the zone. As a pitcher, Nicolato sat 85-88 mph with the fastball, spun a two plane breaking slider at 71-72 mph and deployed a 73-75 mph changeup that he threw with fastball intent. It was one of the more impressive overall days from the event and confirmed Nicolato as a name to know in the state for the class of 2026.”
