On Oct. 20, the Prep Baseball Wisconsin hosted its last open showcase of 2024: The Northern Wisconsin Fall ID. With this being the second-ever fall showcase in the area, it introduced our staff to new need-to-know players in the state that we’d not yet seen before, as well as provided us with updated looks at players who’ve earned our attention in the past.

Today, we’ll highlight several standouts and performances from Sunday’s showcase in De Pere. You’ll see more content roll out throughout the week, such as our traditional stats story as well as leaderboards taken from TrackMan, Blast Motion, and Swift data, as our partners’ state-of-the-art technologies helped our staff identify even more players to know headed into the offseason and beyond.

For now, let’s take a look at the standouts from Sunday’s event at Impact Sports Academy in De Pere. Each of the prospects below are uncommitted unless stated otherwise.

POSITION PLAYERS

CLASS OF 2025

+ INF Avery Ramos (Neenah, 2025) had a solid all-around day at the plate and on defense on Sunday. Ramos has a big and physical frame that measured at 6-foot-1, 195 pounds. He started off his day by running the third fastest 60 yard dash time of 7.11 seconds. During hitting, Ramos used a swing with minimal head movement and registered the second highest max exit velocity of the day at 92.9 mph. He also impressed during the defensive portion of the event. Ramos displayed soft hands, quality actions in the infield and the best arm of the event across the infield at 87 mph. Overall, it was an impressive look from the senior infielder.

CLASS OF 2026

+ INF Brendan Keller (Badger, 2026) stands a strong and sturdy 5-foot-11, 190 pounds. Keller took an impressive round of batting practice with a well-sequenced swing and quick hands and recorded the 5th highest max exit velocity of 91.3 mph while spraying line drives to all fields. His defensive work in the infield was equally impressive as he showed off his soft hands and quality actions and had the second best velocity across the infield at 85 mph which should be plenty of arm strength to stick on the left side of the infield. Our staff will keep Keller on their radar after the interesting look from the junior infielder.

+ C Gavin Levin (Homestead, 2026) had a solid day both with the bat and behind the plate on Sunday. Levin used a well-sequenced right-handed swing and created bat speed through the zone which allowed him to register the 3rd best max exit velocity of the day at 92.3 mph and had the best average exit velocity of the day at 86.5 mph. His 2.03 pop time behind the plate was the 2nd best of the day. Levin has placed himself on our staff’s radar going forward after Sunday’s showing.

CLASS OF 2027

+ INF Will Nikolay (De Pere, 2027) stands 5-foot-8, 175 pounds with strength throughout. He started off his day by running a solid 7.21 seconds 60 yard dash. His loud round of batting practice opened some eyes. Nikolay registered the highest max exit velocity of the event at 93.1 mph and had the second best average exit velocity of 85.6 mph. His swing is well-balanced, short and quick and he has impressive feel for the barrel. In the infield, Nikolay displayed soft hands, rhythmic feet and a rangy first step. Overall, the sophomore was one of the biggest winners of the day and our staff is looking forward to seeing him this winter and spring.

+ INF Lyle Cardwell (Bayport, 2027) had a solid day with the bat. Cardwell was all over the barrel during his round of hitting while doing a great job of staying behind the ball. His Cardwell’s 82.7 mph average exit velocity was the 6th best of the day. Cardwell will be a name our staff takes note of going forward.

PITCHER/TWO-WAY PLAYERS

CLASS OF 2025

+ RHP Cooper Jesperson (Eau Claire Memorial, 2025) put together an eye-opening performance on the mound on Sunday. Jesperson, who is listed at a wiry and projectable 6-foot-3, 174 pounds showcased electric stuff and impressive command with his arsenal. The right-hander displayed the ability to command two different fastballs from a low 3/4 arm slot. The 4-seamer showcased considerable ride and carry through the top of the zone, while the 2-seamer had late life and bore to arm side. The fastballs sat in the 91-95 mph range throughout the entirety of the ‘pen. His secondary offerings were equally impressive. Jesperson snapped off multiple nasty late-breaking sweepers (78 mph average) with an average spin rate of 2700 rpm. Additionally, the senior showed impressive feel for a change up with late downer action in the hitting zone. Overall, it was one of the most impressive looks in a showcase setting for our staff and it is no wonder why there was so much buzz around Jesperson and his future outlook going into his senior campaign.

+ RHP Gavin Brady (Bayport, 2025) continues to impress our staff with his pitchability. The athletic 5-foot-9, 175 pound right-hander pounded the zone with a three-pitch mix. The fastball sat in the low 80’s with carry and ride through spots. He pairs his fastball with a sharp breaking curveball and feel for a change up. He tunnels his secondary offerings well off of the fastball and can throw strikes with all three pitches. It was another solid look from the senior right-hander.

+ This was the first time our staff has viewed RHP Alex Sartor (Verona Area, 2025) in a showcase setting and we were impressed with what we saw. Sartor stands a sturdy and athletic 6-foot-1, 180 pounds. He started his day by running the fastest 60 yard dash time of the event at 7.00 seconds. On the mound, Sartor topped out at 82 mph, but has an athletic and repeatable delivery and a quick arm which point to the potential to throw with more velocity in the future. He also showed the ability to spin a couple of breaking balls. The curveball was a bigger breaking version of the slider, but both pair well with the fastball. Overall, It was an interesting look from the senior right-hander and there are some indicators here for some ceiling.

+ RHP Aedon Rowhani (Shorewood, 2026) was measured at a long and wiry 6-foot-1, 165 with a projectable frame. Rowhani showcased an athletic and dynamic delivery with some arm speed. His fastball showed life out of the hand as he was able to locate through areas of the zone. He paired his heater with a 10/4 shaped slider that he was able to land in the zone and get it below the zone for chase. Rowhani will be a name our staff monitors going forward after this look.

+ RHP Steven Kable (New London, 2025) showcased real pitchability with a four pitch mix from an athletic delivery with a consistent window out of a high 3/4 arm slot. Kable consistently repeated his delivery throughout the bullpen and showed serious feel for all four pitches to spots in the zone. His fastball was driven through all four quadrants of the zone and was paired with a sharp breaking cutter, an 11/5 shaped curveball. Kable also featured a change up that came out of the same tunnel as the fastball. Overall, it was an impressive look from the senior right hander.

CLASS OF 2026

+ RHP Gavin Lax (Luxemburg-Casco, 2026) is an extremely interesting talent on the mound. Lax is still waiting to develop physically, but once he does, Lax has a chance to be a high ceiling talent on the mound. Lax has a loose and athletic delivery with an extremely deceptive release out of hand. Lax has a low release height and slings the ball from a high 3/4 delivery yet still has the ability to stay behind the baseball. His fastball topped out in the upper 70’s but has a quick arm and will likely throw much harder once he adds more size and strength. Lax also shows feel for a lateral breaking slider and a change up. The junior right-hander is definitely an interesting name for our staff to keep tabs on going forward.

CLASS OF 2027

+ LHP/1B Mark Susa (Hudson, 2027) was one of the biggest winners of the day. Susa stands a wiry and long 6-foot-3, 179 pounds with tons of room to add more size and strength. Susa showcased a loose and easy delivery from the left side. His quick arm deployed fastballs 81-84 mph and showed consistent ability to angle to cross corner. He also showcased a sharp swing and miss type breaking ball at 68-70 mph and a late fading change up at 73-75 mph. At the plate, Susa was consistently on the barrel with whippy bat speed and hit the furthest ball of the event at 347 feet. Additionally, the left hander showed impressive feel to play first base with quality foot work and knowledge of the tricky footwork around the bag. Susa has a very high ceiling as a left handed arm but his work as a left handed first baseman couldn’t be overlooked on Sunday.

+ LHP Jacob Reineking (Notre Dame Academy, 2027) is a projectable southpaw with some upside. Reineking is measured at 5-foot-9, 155 pounds with a wiry frame. On the mound, his smooth left-handed delivery allows his three-pitch mix to play at home plate. He angled his fastball into the zone and was able to execute it consistently to the glove side of the plate which pairs well with the sweeping action on the slider. Reineking also showed feel for the changeup and was able to land it in the zone. Overall, it was an interesting look from the sophomore left-hander.

CLASS OF 2028

+ RHP Calvin Johnson (Hudson, 2028) was another interesting right-hander with considerable upside. His 5-foot-10, 167 pound frame is projectable and should add more size and strength. Johnson’s fluid and dynamic delivery produced a mid/upper 70’s mph fastball but will continue to add velocity as he gains strength. He has makings of a solid breaking ball and developing feel for a change up. As Johnson continues to develop his arsenal, he could make some noise now and in the future.
