Milwaukee Summer Rising Stars ID: Takeaways & Statistical Analysis

By: Josh Fields
Wisconsin Staff

On June 18th, the Prep Baseball Wisconsin staff traveled to The Rock in Franklin, WI, to host the annual Milwaukee Summer Rising Stars. This event featured prospects from the 2028 and 2029 graduating classes and has consistently provided our staff with the names of players to consider inviting to the PBR Junior Future Games where they’ll represent Team Wisconsin at LakePoint Sports in Emerson, GA., at the end of the summer.

Now, at the event's conclusion, our staff will begin to compile some of our takeaways from this event while also hitting on some of the day's stat leaders. Below you'll find which players popped to our scouts, as well as which prospects headlined our respective statistical categories.

Lucas Reinheimer and Caleb Scheel showcased their quality arms, both among the best in their respective classes. Scheel showed feel for three pitches during the workout paired with a low-70s fastball, with feel for the zone. Reinheimer is a 2029 that impressed on the mound, an athletic delivery with some feel to repeat it with a whippy arm. Reinheimer flashed feel for his four-pitch mix, a fastball that reached 74.7 mph and three different offspeed pitches.
