April 1, 2024
This Tuesday, April 2nd, the Prep Baseball Wisconsin team is hosting the Milwaukee Rising Stars ID at the MOSH Performance Center in Franklin, Wis. This event is tailored to prospects in the 2028 and 2029 classes and it is meant to educate players with what to expect about the overall landscape of playing at the next level while also allowing our staff to identify some up-and-coming talent.

EVENT HISTORY
We've been hosting this event for the past few years, and it's consistently provided us a look at prominent players who've later gone on to receive invitations to select events, like the Prep Baseball Junior Future Games.
At this event last year, RHP/1B Carter Gordon (Germantown, 2027) absolutely showed out. After hitting a 98.7 mph high during his BP session, he lit it up during his 'pen where the mature 6-foot-3, 250 pound right hander ran his fastball up to 88 mph while showing feel for a number of offspeed pitches. C/INF/RHP Grady Cheever (Germantown, 2027) was also amongst the day's biggest winners, and he earned an invite to the Prep Baseball Junior Future Games. Both Gordon and Cheever, who are ranked No. 3 and No. 4 in our Class of 2027 Rankings, are set to help Preseason Power 25 No. 18 Germantown during their first season at the prep level. LHP Joey Shaw (Muskego, 2027) also came away a winner, after running his fastball up to 82 mph at this event last year, and he too is another ranked prospect in the state's current freshmen class.
