On Monday, Aug. 19, the Prep Baseball Wisconsin staff is traveling to the east side of the state to host the 8th annual Eastern Wisconsin Summer ID, taking place at Wildwood Baseball Park in Sheboygan. This showcase is an open event to all graduates between the classes of 2025 and 2028.

EVENT HISTORY

The Eastern Wisconsin Summer ID has long been a successful event, usually set to cap off a busy summer. It was more of the same in the recent past, providing our staff a look at the talent from the east side of the state.

Last year, a pair of Mosinee products in OF Taylor Lemanski (2024; Wisconsin-La Crosse commit) and RHP Garrett Shupe (2024; North Dakota State) each showed well, going on to make it to the State Tournament this past June, all while committing in the process.

RHP Bryce Loker (Omro, 2026) popped as an intriguing prospect, emerging as a standout at this event last year before progressing into his prep career. Earlier this summer, Loker’s talents allowed him to represent Team Wisconsin as an arm down at the Prep Baseball Future Games.

Now new on the circuit, OF Levi Watts (Appleton North, 2025) and UTL Ben Johnston (Kimberly, 2025) each earned invites to the first-ever Wisconsin State Games—garnering attention against quality competition. Each made an appearance at Wildwood Baseball Park last Aug., getting their names on the radar for the future.

2024 ROSTER

The roster for this year’s event finishes off Prep Baseball Wisconsin’s in-person work throughout the state this summer, welcoming in a solid group of prospects who have completed their respective seasons.

It starts with a pair of Pittsville athletes, a group that enjoyed a strong 2024. Much of that had to do with the production of RHP Logan Zickert (2025) and UTL Dawson Luther (2026), who each garnered attention from our scouting staff throughout the past couple of months, including at the PBT Wisconsin Open.

For Zickert, the right-hander rushed his FB up to 86 mph and dominated in a starting role in Mauston, emerging as a name-to-know in Wisconsin’s 2025 class, standing at an athletic 5-foot-11, 150-pound frame.

Luther was one of the top performers throughout the entire WIAA on the offensive end for the Panthers, tallying 54 hits in his sophomore campaign on his way to being a Third Team All-State awardee. The left-handed hitter is competitive at the plate with a quality feel for the barrel, consistently making contact and attacking strikes in our staff’s tournament looks.

Next, UTL Tristin Hundt (Sheboygan North, 2026) was a winner from the tournament circuit, making his first appearance in the showcase setting since back this winter. Hundt played an integral role for his travel team over the course of the summer, showcasing a quick, whippy barrel from the left side of the plate. The to-be junior is a steady, versatile defender with speed in the outfield—entering Monday as an intriguing follow.

INF’s John Merk (Nicolet, 2025) and Joe Landgraf (Hartford Union, 2025) are a pair of uncommitted prospects who took on important roles for their varsity squads this past spring. Nicolet made it to the State Tournament with Merk as a defender on the middle infield, while Hartford Union enjoyed a strong season with Landgraf in a starting role. Each prospect will be making their first appearance in the showcase setting over our summer circuit.

In staying on the east side of the Badger State, a trio of Grafton products between OF Zach Plier (2026), UTL Peyton McKinney (2026) and RHP Elijah Banaag (2026) will be in attendance for Monday’s event. Each took on a starting role for a competitive Black Hawks group this past spring as sophomores. Plier posted EVs in the low-90s (T94 mph) back at the Milwaukee Preseason ID in March—leading the way as a powerful bat this spring for Grafton.

1B Ethan Hibicke (Sussex Hamilton, 2025) rounds out some of the standouts on this year’s roster, as the to-be senior was a winner on the showcase circuit dating all the way back to last summer. Hibicke enjoyed a solid spring for Sussex Hamilton—taking his talents to Wildwood Baseball Park to cap off the summer as he enters his final year of prep baseball.

As always, our staff is looking forward to witnessing some of the under-the-radar talent from prospects who will be making their first appearance on the showcase circuit this Monday.
