Appleton Summer ID: Quick Hits

On Tuesday, June 24th, the Prep Baseball Wisconsin staff traveled to The Rock in Franklin, Wisconsin to host the Appleton Summer ID. The event hosted around 25 players from across the state and allowed our staff to get a closer look at these players to kick off the summer circuit.

Today we take a look at some of the top performances from the event, and will later roll out our position-by-position scouting analysis stories.


+ INF/RHP Keal Konrad (Hortonville, 2025) is a compact 5-foot-7, 174-pound athlete that impressed throughout his workout on Tuesday. Konrad started his day off by running a 7.09 60-yard dash which was one of the best times of the event. At the plate, the right-hander swings with intent and has a knack for producing hard contact averaging 87.8 mph off the bat throughout his round, peaking at 94. In the field, Konrad showed some bounce in the infield with clean actions and quick movements with an accurate arm up to 83 mph across the diamond. To finish off his day Konrad authored one of the more intriguing ‘pens of the day. Konrad showed feel to use his lower half, extending down the mound and is able to do it consistently. Out of a full and quick arm action the baseball jumps out of Konrad’s hand. Four-pitch mix with a mid-80s fastball that averaged 16.8 inches of carry from a 5-foot release height spinning at 2400+ RPMs. Konrad showed feel to spin two different breaking balls, a 11/5 low-70s curveball that he spun at 2800+, and a mid-70s slider that he spun at 2700+ with 10.1 inches of sweep on average. Rounding off his arsenal, Konrad showed a mid-70s running changeup that he was able to throw for strikes. Konrad is a name-to-know going forward in the Badger State’s incoming senior class.

+ RHP Dylan Campeau (Greendale, 2025) broke out as a name-to-know in the state the prior weekend, and reaffirmed his status as one of the top uncommitted arms in the state on Tuesday. The right-hander was responsible for the loudest ‘pen of the day, running his fastball up to 91.6 mph sitting 87-91 throughout his ‘pen. His fastball plays with run and life through the zone as he flashed the ability to command it to different parts of the zone. Campeau also showed two different offspeed pitches that look to play right now. The first is an upper-70s curveball that flashed sharp 11/5 break with above-average spin at 2500+ RPMs. Rounding off his arsenal is a running low-80s changeup that he worked around the zone with. Campeau is one of the top uncommitted arms in Wisconsin and will be representing Team Midwest in the upcoming 17u Future Games later this month.

+ RHP Peyton Kuehn (Green Bay Preble, 2025) is another right-hander that impressed this past Tuesday in Appleton. The 6-foot, 167-pound pitcher saw an increase in velocity since our last look at him. Now up to 87.3 mph with his fastball with life through the zone sitting in the mid-80s throughout his ‘pen. Kuehn showed three different offspeed pitches in this look, a upper-60s 12/6 curveball that he spun at 2200-2400 RPMs, a low-70s slider that he spun at 2300-2400 that averaged 12.8 inches of sweep. To round off his arsenal Kuehn showed a changeup that flashed running action.

+ RHP Lucky Pahl (Winnecone, 2026) is an intriguing right-hander that popped up as a follow arm on Tuesday. Standing at an athletic 6-foot-1, 172-pound frame with room for added growth and fill. Pahl operates out of an athletic and loose delivery that he showed the ability to repeat his delivery throughout his ‘pen. Pahl delivers the baseball with arm speed out of a low ¾ slot, showing two-pitches in this look, a low-80s fastball that topped out at 83.2 mph with 17.2 inches of carry from a 4.9 release height. His second offering was a low-70s curveball that he spun at 2400-2600 RPMs that played at an 11/5 shape.

+ RHP Zander Leick (Kaukauna, 2025) is an uncommitted right-hander that showed well this past Tuesday on the mound. Standing at 6-foot, 182-pounds Leick works downhill and maintains direction towards home, armed with a quick arm action and a mid-80s fastball T86.1 mph with 19.2 inches of carry from a 4.9 release height, spinning his fastball at 2200+ RPMs. Leick showed three different offspeed pitches in this look, spun two breaking balls with similar action and velocity range. To round off his arsenal Leick throw a running changeup at 76-77 with similar action to the fastball.

+ RHP Jackson Kobylarczyk (Kettle Moraine Lutheran, 2025) is a 6-foot, 205-pound right-hander that showed feel for the zone throughout his ‘pen. Kobylarczyk showed feel to repeat his delivery, working online to the plate with a quick arm out of a ¾ slot. His fastball sat in the low-80s throughout his ‘pen topping out at 82.7 mph, playing with true four-seam action averaging 17.9 inches of carry and maxing at 19.5 inches. He showed two-offspeed pitches, the first was an upper-60s curveball flashing sharp 11/5 break and a mid-70s changeup that played with slight fading action that he showed feel to land in the zone for strikes.
