Top-10 Profiles of 2021: No. 7, Theo Zeidler

By Andy Sroka

As we approach the end of 2021, we're taking account of the PBR Wisconsin player profile pages to determine the players in our backyard whose profiles earned the most attention throughout the year. We're counting down the top-10 profiles in the state that received the most views, from No. 10 and on, concluding our countdown on New Year's Day by revealing the most-viewed profile of the year.

Coming in at No. 7 is RHP Theo Zeidler (Bay Port, 2022; Bradley commit), who propelled himself into a more national conversation in 2021, and his performance at February's Fox Cities I.D. was really where he began to gain serious momentum. There, Zeidler sat 89-91 mph with a polished three-pitch mix from an athletic and smooth delivery, which made his arsenal look that much more effective and projectable. He continued to reassert that his performance in Appleton was no fluke, recording an ace-like workload for Bay Port as a junior, and his work in the summer earned him a spot at the Area Code Games, eventually. Having entered 2021 uncommitted, his PBR profile page naturally boomed, and made his the seventh most-viewed PBR Wisconsin profile of the year.

NO. 7: THEO ZEIDLER

Scouting Report

7/06/21

Bradley commit. 6-foot-2, 200-pound frame. With advanced pitch ability Zeidler didn’t have the top fastball velocity of the event (87-88) but was certainly the top pitcher. Moving three average to better pitches around the strike zone for consistent strikes, the righty carved hitters with a plus, low-spin (1500s) changeup at 75 mph and an average curveball in the mid-70s. With a quick arm the Bradley commit also has the athletic frame and oozes projection for more velo to come in the future.
