Continuing our coverage of the Senior Games - Mississippi Valley we take a look at the top infielders in attendance. Leading the way was Waukesha West shortstop Luke Kundinger who seemed to be around the ball all day in game play and made every play hit to him look rather easy.

Here’s a look at the top infielders.

Top Infield Prospects

1. Luke Kundinger, SS/RHP, Waukesha West, 2017
6-foot, 165-pound two-way player, average athletic frame. Right-handed hitter, balanced stance, short stride, average balance. Hands are loose and athletic, bat control, level path. 75 mph exit velocity from the tee. Singled twice in game play. Defensively played fast and athletically on the infield, good body control and made plays consistently on the move, well above average hands. ARm is loose and plays athletically, showed carry across, 84 mph. On the mound arm is loose. High ¾ slot. Fastball slightly runs to arm side, 78-81 mph, touched 82 mph. Feel for curveball, controlled well for strikes, 11/5 shape, 69-71 mph.  

2. Drew Behling, 3B, Waupun, 2017
6-foot, 195-pound third baseman, solid build. Left-handed hitter, open stance, strides back to square, balanced. Flashed pull side pop, path works around the baseball, looks to pull with authority, above average bat speed. 87 mph exit velocity from the tee. Defensively arm plays short and loose, high ¾ slot, arm showed carry to play the left side, 84 mph across the diamond. Glove pat to release, reliable hands, showed ability to make all the routine plays, feet occasionally gets static. 7.69 runner in the 60.

3. Dylan Fluegel, SS/RHP, Oak Creek, 2017
5-foot-10, 175-pound two-way player, athletic shape with strength. Right-handed hitter, open stance, loads hands back, arm bar load, good balance. Showed barrel control in BP, squared up the baseball, line drive gap to gap type. 81 mph exit velocity from the tee. Doubled in game play. Defensively feet worked well, average hands, plays through the baseball. 7.6 runner in the 60. Arm action is short and over the top, flashed carry, 81 mph across the diamond. On the mound fastball was mostly straight, four seam type, 78-80 mph. Curveball has 12/6 shape, 66-68 mph. Also showed a knuckle ball at 68-70 mph.

4. Sam Dupont, 1B, Eden Prairie (MN), 2017
6-foot-1, 200-pound first baseman. Right-handed hitter, balanced stance, leg kick trigger, lower half works well. Aggressive swing, hard contact, backspin contact. Pull side power approach, short path stays on top of the baseball. 91 mph exit velocity from the tee. Defensively showed feel around the bag, arm action is long, high ¾ slot, 73 mph across the diamond. 7.63 runner in the 60.

5. Joshua Kunstman, INF/RHP, Freedom, 2017
6-foot-4, 175-pound, lanky, two-way player. Offensively, right-handed hitter, has bat speed, flashed power, level path through the zone, exit velocity clocked at 90. Balanced setup, short stride, showed ability to maintain balance through contact. Defensively, reliable hands, fluid footwork. Short arm action from an over the top slot; throws clocked at 75 mph across the diamond. 7.22 runner in the laser timed 60. On the mound, right-handed pitcher, regular effort, long arm action from an over the top slot. Fastball, most straight, sat 72-74 mph. Curveball, 12/6 shape, 61 mph. Changeup, fade action, 63-66 mph.

Offensively, tall setup, short stride, Short, uphill path through the zone; exit velocity registered at 78 mph from a tee. Defensively, reliable hands, clean exchange. Loose arm action from a high ¾ to ¾ slot; throws clocked at 72 mph across the diamond. 7.87 runner in the laser timed 60.

Brock Gilkes, 1B, Albany, 2017
6-foot, 220-pound, big frame, first baseman. Offensively, right-handed hitter, tall, narrow setup, back load, lek kick. Long, uphill path through the zone, exit velocity clocked at 84 mph. Defensively, tendency to field deep, long arm action from a ¾ slot; throws registered at 70 mph across the infield. 8.74 runner in the laser timed 60.

Drew Johnson, 3B, Kimberly, 2017
5-foot-10, 195-pound, third baseman. Offensively, right-handed hitter, tall setup, deep load, toe tap stride. Showed bat speed and barrell control, slightly uphill path through the zone; exit velocity clocked at 88 mph. Defensively, reliable hands on the infield, clean exchange. Short, accurate arm from a high ¾ slot; throws clocked at 72 mph across the infield. 7.88 runner in the laser timed 60.

Nathan Krueger, INF, Florence, 2017
6-foot, 180-pound, lean, athletic, middle-infielder. Offensively, right-handed hitter, balanced setup with a short stride. Short path through the strike zone; exit velocity registered at at 78 mph. Defensively, long arm action from a high ¾ slot; throws clocked at 75 mph across the infield. 7.64 runner in the laser timed 60.

Eric Obst, RHP/INF, Waukesha West, 2017
5-foot-11, 175-pound, two-way player. On the mound, right-handed pitcher, regular effort, stays in line, lands square. Short arm action from an over the top slot. Fastball, most straight, 76-78 mph, T80. Curveball, varied between 12/6 and 11/5 shape, gradual action, 65-67 mph. Offensively, right-handed hitter, balanced setup, leg kick. Defensively showed feel for the bag, 8.11 runner in the 60. Arm action is shorter, over the top slot, accurate to bases, 70 mph across the diamond.

Nathan Renner, RHP/1B, Tremper, 2017
6-foot-2, 215-pound two-way player, solid build. On the mound delivery is compact and directional, short over the top arm action. Fastball is straight, 78-80 mph. Curveball has 12/6 shape, 70-72 mph. Ground ball outs in game. Right-handed hitter, balanced stance, leg kick stride. Favors pull side pop approach, lacked extension, looked to lift. 80 mph exit velocity from the tee.

Jack Wendelberger, 1B, Pewaukee, 2017
6-foot, 215-pound, solid frame, first baseman. Offensively, left-handed hitter, balanced setup, leg lift. Short, uphill path through the zone, exit velocity clocked at 81 mph from the tee. Defensively, short arm action from an over the top slot; throws registered at 62 mph across the infield. 8.24 runner in the laser timed 60.

Nathan White, 3B/1B, Union Grove, 2017
5-foot-11, 190-pound corner infielder. Right-handed hitter, open stance, short stride. Showed some bat strength, firm path. Singled in game play. 81 mph exit velocity from the tee. Defensively arm plays over the top, 68 mph across the diamond. Hands work, fields out in front, 8.11 runner in the 60, projects best at first base.

RJ Woppert, INF, Verona Area, 2017
6-foot-1, 180-pound infielder, lanky athletic frame, switch hitting infielder. Balanced stance, short leg lift trigger, good balance. Loose hands, showed bat speed, pull type from the left side. Showed bat speed, 90 mph exit velocity from the tee. 7.14 runner in the 60. Defensively arm action is long and firm, high ¾ slot, 74 mph across the diamond.
