Jim Jarecki, RHP, Marquette University, 2016
Bradley University
10.11.15 - Extra-large frame, 6-foot-7, 220-pound right-handed pitcher, strong durable pitchers build. Tall and fall delivery with some effort, tendency to get underneath the baseball, could create additional tilt. Arm action is loose and clean, ¾ slot. Fastball played at 84-86 mph, touched 87 mph, certainly looks to have more in the tank, worked mostly top half of zone. Curveball thrown with arm speed, 75-77 mph, displayed more lateral action, occasional back-up action. Changeup had advanced action, best secondary pitch, excellent fade an arm side action, 78-80 mph, thrown with tempo and arm speed, good feel for the zone. High follow uncommitted senior with projectable arm action and untapped potential.
Cody Cline, C, Fall Creek, 2016
Grand View University
6/18/15 - 5-foot-8, 175-pound left-handed hitting catcher. Hits from a balanced stance, stride slightly dives, good balance. Compact swing, short path with slight pull side approach, occasional lift. 83 mph exit velocity from the tee. Defensively uses a short over the top arm action, 70 mph out of the crouch. Hands work, average footwork, 2.15-2.26 pop times. Ran a 7.62 in the 60.
James Wright, RHP, Milwaukee Lutheran, 2016
Benedictine University
2/8/15 - 5-foot-11, 170-pound right-handed pitcher, medium build. Tall and fall approach, regular effort, compact delivery, works on line, squared landing. Arm action is short, high ¾ slot. Fastball has slight run action, 80-82 mph. Curveball has sweeping action, 72-74 mph. Changeup flashed sink, 74-76 mph. Good three pitch mix, showed feel.
Sean O'Brien, RHP, Marquette University, 2018
Saint Louis University
7.20.15 - 6-foot, 175-pound two-way player, carries strength, athletic build. On the mound uses a slight drop and drive style delivery. Arm action has a long draw, release from the ear, over the top slot. Fastball is mostly straight four seam, showed control of the zone, flashed arm strength touching 82 mph, sat 78-80 mph for most of his outing. Curveball has 12/6 action, feel for the zone, showed depth with proper spin, 65-67 mph. Right-handed hitter, balanced stance, short stride, smooth loading action, maintained strong balance. Bat strength hitter, path works slightly uphill, producing gap power. 91 mph exit velocity from the tee. Defensively fields the baseball out in front, third base type defender. Arm action is short, over the top slot, arm has carry and accuracy to stick on the left side (80 mph). Ran a 4.62 down the line.
