Power 25 Update: Week 8

Division 2-4 playoffs started last week and the DIvision 1 playoffs start Tuesday, May 30. Our week eight version of the Power 25 marks the last regular season edition, so here’s a look at how everybody stacks up going into the playoffs.

The top of the rankings stayed virtually unchanged. No. 1 Indian Trail had the toughest week, and dropped a game on Saturday to No. 8 Kimberly. Their head-to-head win over Arrowhead keeps them on top of the Power 25 heading into the playoffs.

Kimberly made a big jump from No. 16 to No. 8 after beating both No. 1 Indian Trail and No. 12 Tremper on Saturday. The Papermakers are playing their best baseball at the right time as they are currently riding a 13 game win streak.

Coleman, the top Division 3 team took the first blow to their record last week in a loss to Division 2 Freedom. Don’t expect this to sting much as the Cougars look to roll through the Division 3 playoffs.
