KENOSHA, WI – No. 10 Tremper walked off No. 4 Indian Trail 1-0 in a 10 inning pitchers duel that took just about two hours to complete.

With no one crossing the plate in the first nine and a half innings, Tremper leadoff man Alex Moyao reached base with one away in the tenth. After a ground out put Moyao at second, Garrett LaBreche stepped to the plate with two away. LaBreche drove a single past a diving Grffin Klein and into centerfield. Moyao was off on contact and came sliding in with the winning run just ahead of a tag from catcher Kyle Antos.

The story of the game was Aurbun commit Ryan Hoerter, who scouts came out to see in only his second start in the state of Wisconsin this year. Hoerter did not disappoint going eight strong innings allowing just four hits, two walks and striking out nine en route to a no decision. His fastball sat 89-91 mph early in the outing and was still working 87-88 mph in the eighth. He generated swings and misses with his sharp breaking curveball and late fading changeup.

Matching Hoerter in the game was Tremper starter Andrew Freiberg, who went seven innings allowing just five hits. Nathan Renner relived Frieberg in extras and tossed three scoreless frames to pick up the win in relief.

Vinny Rizzo went 2-3 with two singles and a walk for Indian Trail.
