As the 2024 baseball season comes to a close, Prep Baseball Washington begins a new offseason series of Uncommitted Spotlights, highlighting standout performers that attended a Prep Baseball showcase event this year. Uncommitted spotlights are meant to showcase players that Prep Baseball Scouts felt showed standout tools, large improvements in overall game, or potential upside moving forward. College coaches and recruiters should be sure to keep an eye on these prospects in the coming months.

Today, we spotlight 2026 C Kai Jambor. The 5'11, strong-framed backstop made some nice strides between looks in the spring at Pacific NW Preseason All-State and the Eastside Summer ID events. Jambor had some noticable added strength that translated to the plate, hitting the ball harder with more consistency and showcasing his pull-oriented approach. His peak exit velocity jumped from 84.8 MPH over the winter to 93.8 MPH in the summer, and his average exit velocity went from 78.6 MPH to 82.9 MPH. Batted ball distance saw a jump as well, growing from a max distance of 301 to 347 feet.

Jambor showcased a polished overall game at the summer showcase, running a 7.31 60-yard dash time with skills defensively as well. A strong arm with some quickness behind the plate, Jambor flashed a 2.08 pop time with throws consistently around the bag. Jambor should be poised for a big spring as he likely steps into a larger role for Eastside Catholic.
