Corbin Carroll (Lakeside HS '19/Arizona Diamondbacks)

Carroll had a historic season in 2023, playing in the MLB for the Arizona Diamondbacks. Carroll won the NL Rookie of the Year, recording 25 homers and 54 stolen bases for the club. He became the first rookie ever to record 20+ homers and 50+ stolen bases. His 54 stolen bases were also a Diamondbacks rookie record as well as his 10 triples. His Win Probability added of 5.2 and adjusted OPS+ of 134 were also D-Backs rookie records. Carroll has also earned a plethora of other awards since departing Lakeside High School in Seattle. While in the majors aside from his ROTY, he was NL Player of the Week as well as NL Rookie of the Month in 06/2023, an NL All-Star in 2023, Baseball America Major League All-Rookie Team, Baseball America Major League Rookie of the Year, the Players Choice NL Outstanding Rookie, and All-MLB First Team all in 2023. While in the minors, Carroll was a Futures Game selection (2022), a Baseball America Minor League All-Star (2022) and USA Today Minor League Player of the Year (2022). 

Blake Snell (Shorewood HS '11/San Francisco Giants)

Snell enters his 9th big league season coming off a dominant 2023 campaign where he was awarded his 2nd Cy Young Award. The left-hander posted a 2.25 ERA in 180 innings with the San Diego Padres. He had a league-best ERA+ of 185 and struck out 234 batters. In his first Cy Young Award campaign in 2018, Snell held an absurd 1.89 ERA and won 21 games that year for the Tampa Bay Rays. His ERA+ of 217 that year also led the Majors. According to BaseballReference.com, Snell is the current MLB CAREER LEADER in strikeouts per nine innings with 11.1 K's. Snell is in his first season currently with the San Francisco Giants.

Michael Conforto (Redmond HS '11/San Francisco Giants)

One of the most well-established big leaguers to come out of the state of Washington these past 2 decades, Conforto is in his 9th big league season after being drafted with the 10th overall pick in the 2014 draft out of Oregon State. Conforto was a Futures Game selection in 2015 when he was with the Mets organization and made his big-league debut on July 24, 2015. His best big-league season thus far came in 2017 when he was a National League All-Star hitting .279 AVG with a .384 OBP 27 home runs and 20 doubles in 109 games played. He also had an exceptional MLB shortened 2020 season in which he hit .322 AVG with a .412 OBP in 54 games. Conforto currently holds a .268 AVG in 41 games played with 7 home runs this season so far with the San Francisco Giants. 

Cole Fontenelle (Skyline HS '20/Los Angeles Angels)

In his second professional season, Fontenelle has already reached the Double AA level after coming out of Texas Christian University (TCU) in the 7th round of the 2023 MLB Draft. In his last season with TCU, Fontenelle posted a .352 average with an impressive 1.112 OPS. This line included 21 doubles in 65 games. Before being placed on the 60-day injured list on May 8th this season, Fontenelle had posted a .278 average (20 for 72) in Double-A Rocket City with a .404 on-base percentage. 

Will Simpson (Skyline HS '19/Oakland A's)

Simpson got his first taste of playing against big leaguers during the 2024 spring training Cactus League for the A's. In limited action, he went 2-5, with a home run. After posting an over .300 average in stops at rookie ball and single A, Simpson has continued to swing it well in high A this year. Through June 2nd, Simpson has a .307 AVG (47 for 153) with an OBP of .432 and an OPS of .942. Simpson won California League Player of Week for the week of 09/03/2023.

Torin Montgomery (Lake Washington HS '19/Miami Marlins)

Montgomery is in his 3rd professional season after stops playing for Boise State and Missouri in college. He killed it in A ball for the Marlins last season in Jupiter, posting a .341 AVG and a .481 OBP. He was named an FSL Post-Season All-Star with the Jupiter Hammerheads club after the 2023 season. One of his highlights so far in the 2024 season includes a walk-off single on May 5th for High-A Beloit Sky Carp. 

Trystan Vrieling (Kamiakin HS '19/New York Yankees)

Vrieling was selected in the 3rd round by the Yankees in the 2022 Draft after a stellar career at Gonzaga University. Rehabbing from an arm injury, Vrieling is in his first minor league season with the Yanks after also competing in the Arizona Fall League. He has found success early in his professional career, winning EAS Pitcher of the Week (04/21/2024)  and EAS Pitcher of the Month (04/2024) pitching at the Double-A level this season.

Owen Wild (Gig Harbor HS '20/Tampa Bay Rays)

Wild is in his first full season in professional baseball this year after making a lone scoreless appearance in rookie ball at the end of last season. The right-hander was outstanding early on for single-A Charleston RiverDogs, posting a 3.06 ERA over 35 1/3 innings for the Rays affiliate. He has since been promoted to high-A Bowling Green where he has posted 12 strikeouts in 10 2/3 innings.

Michael Toglia (Gig Harbor HS '16/Colorado Rockies)

Toglia was selected with the 23rd overall pick in the 2019 MLB Draft out of UCLA. He made his big-league debut on August 30th 2022. He has twice received all-star accolades in pro ball, a Mid-Season All-Star selection in low-A with the Boise Hawks (2019) and a Post-Season All-Star with high-A Spokane Indians (2021). He also received a selection in the coveted Futures Game in 2021. 

Matt Scheffler (Lake Washington HS '16/Seattle Mariners)

Scheffler is in his fourth professional season after collegiate stops at Piece College and Auburn University. The catcher has rose through the Mariners farm system to the Triple-A Rainiers this season. He saw limited time with the big league club during spring training this year but made the most of it, going 2-5 with a home run and multiple runs batted in.

Stuart Fairchild (Seattle Prep HS '14/Cincinnati Reds)

After being drafted out of high school, Fairchild was drafted again in the 2nd round (38th overall) in the 2017 draft out of Wake Forest. He made his big-league debut with the Reds on July 6th 2021. His best professional season thus far has been 2021 when he played for the Reno Aces. Fairchild hit .295 in the minor leagues across 156 at-bats with 88 total bases in 44 games that earned him his MLB debut. He was also a mid-season all-star with full season A Dayton Dragons in 2018. He has been known this season to make some highlight defensive plays for the big-league club.

Reese McGuire (Kentwood HS '13/Boston Red Sox)

McGuire has played in 7 big-league seasons including 2024. His best year to date came in 2022 when he hit .337 AVG in 98 at-bats for Boston after being traded over from the Chicago White Sox. With Boston this season he has already registered 109 at-bats in 36 games for the historic franchise (through June 5th).

Janson Junk (Decatur HS '15/Milwaukee Brewers)

In his career thus far, Junk has pitched in parts of 4 big league seasons. His best stint in the majors thus far came in his rookie year with the Los Angeles Angels. In 16 1/3 innings, Junk posted a 3.86 ERA with a ERA+ of 118. He recorded his first big-league win in 2021 with the Angels. Junk is currently on the 40-man roster for the Brewers.

Drew Rasmussen (Mount Spokane HS '14/Tampa Bay Rays)

Rasmussen has played in parts of 4 big league seasons (2020-2023) battling injuries as of late. His best season as a big leaguer thus far was in 2022, when he threw 146 innings and held a 2.84 ERA. During this campaign he was named AL Pitcher of the Month for the month of June and compiled an 11-7 record for the Rays while making 28 starts. Hitters batted .222 AVG against him and he had a 1.04 WHIP. Rasmussen is currently recovering from Tommy John and will be looking to rejoin his teammates on the bump late in the season as the Rays look for their 3 AL East Title in the last 5 years.

Andrew Kittredge (Ferris HS '08/St. Louis Cardinals)

Since making his debut on July 18th 2017, Kittredge has been a great reliever when available first for the Tampa Bay Rays and now in his first season with the St. Louis Cardinals. In his 8th big league season Kittredge has compiled a 3.57 ERA across 208 games and 239 2/3 innings. He has a career 1.22 WHIP on the back of his baseball card and an 18-9 record. This season, he has made 27 appearances out of the bullpen thus far for 25 innings, 26 strikeouts, a 2.88 ERA, and a 1.12 WHIP. 

Cam Booser (Fife HS '09/Boston Red Sox)

Booser made his major-league debut this season on April 19th with the Red Sox. Out of the bullpen, Booser has thrown 20 2/3rds innings through June 5th for the Sox. He has punched out 25 in this span. 

Ian Ritchie Jr. (Bainbridge Island HS '22/Atlanta Braves)

Ritchie Jr. is just getting his professional career started after being drafted with the 35th overall pick in the 2022 MLB Draft by the Atlanta Braves. He is currently on the 60-day injured list rehabbing. Across low A ball and rookie ball so far in his professional career, Ritchie Jr. has posted a 3.58 ERA over 27 2/3 innings with 39 strikouts and a WHIP of 1.01.

Joshua Mears (Federal Way HS '19/San Diego Padres)

Mears was drafted by San Diego in the second round with the 48th overall pick in the 2019 MLB Draft. Mears was an MiLB.com Organizational All-Star in 2021 for the organization, and in the week of April 24th 2022, he won high-A Midland League Player of the Week honors. Mears currently plays for high-A Fort Worth TinCaps for the organization. 

Jesse Franklin (Seattle Prep HS '17/Atlanta Braves)

Franklin was drafted by Atlanta in the third round with the 97th overall pick in the 2020 MLB Draft out of Michigan University. He was an MiLB.com Organizational All-Star in 2021 and 2023 for the Braves, and was South Altantic League Player of the Week for the week of July 4th 2021 with the high A Rome Braves (now Emperors). Franklin is currently on the 60 day injured listed rehabbing an injury. 

Bjorn Johnson (Lincoln HS '23/Milwaukee Brewers)

The 19-year-old Johnson, our youngest professional on this list, was drafted in the 12th round of the 2023 MLB Draft by the Milwaukee Brewers, forgoing college ball at Auburn to sign his pro contract. Johnson is currently on the 7-day injured list and has seen limited action for the Brewers at their Arizona Complex League affiliate. 

Carter Young (Selah HS '19/Baltimore Orioles)

Young was drafted out of Vanderbilt in the 2022 Draft by the Baltimore Orioles. He recorded a four-hit game for low A Delmarva Shorebirds on June 4th 2023 and followed that with a 5 hit game for the Shorebirds on June 6th 2023. Young currently plays for the Orioles High-A affiliate, the Aberdeen Ironbirds.
