PITCHING RECAP
‘26 RHP Eli Herst (Garfield, WA)
A projectable right-hander opened the Future Games for team Pacific Northwest. Works with a clean operation and it comes out easy. His fastball sat 85, ranging from 83-86 with subtle arm side life. Sprinkled in a mix of breaking balls and changeups, both in the low-mid 70’s. Upside arm to keep an eye on.

’26 RHP Sean Evans (Tahoma, WA)
Evans pitched two innings in relief, working off a two-pitch mix. The fastball has some works 83-86, sitting 85 and the slider operates in the low 70’s. Evans flashes both stuff and potential and has a “now” body. Lots of upside here and expect more to come with polish and maturity.

’25 LHP Adam Jay (Tahoma, WA)
Jay shut the door on the Nevada offense with two lights out innings in relief. At first the stuff may not stand out, but the results certainly will. Jay generates a ton of poor contact and groundballs with his three-pitch mix. Fastball sat 84 and topped out at 85 through a quick two innings, generating both ride and run to his arm side. Shows feel to place his low 70’s sweeping slider and his change comes out with good at times tumble. Stuff is trending in the right direction after a solid ’23 spring. Tough guy to face for same side hitters and he knows how to get the most out of his stuff.

’25 RHP/OF Derek Thompson (Tumwater, WA)
The athletic right hander came in for a late-game relief inning and pitched his way out of a runners on jam. The Fastball comes out quick with good downhill angle at times, working mid 80’s, touching 87. Thompson snaps off an over-the-top breaking ball with depth at times. Works quick and attacks the zone, with the athleticism to make jumps in stuff leading into the spring.

’26 RHP/INF Deegan Quesenberry (Kamiakin, WA)
Deegan closed out game one with a clean 7th inning. Mid 80’s fastballs, touching 86, flashes arm side run and works both sides of the plate. A mid 70’s slider and 79-80 changeup complete his repertoire. Intriguing strike thrower with a short and clean arm stroke, that finishes with a quick out-front release.
