JUCO Transfers- NCAA Impact Pitchers

The always lush JUCO crop of talent has made its way to four-year college campuses this fall. It's loaded with big arms and tooled-up position players. It’s also packed with just good ole’ ballplayers and pitchers who can carve. The overall talented level is very, very good from top to bottom and will impact D1 programs throughout the country.
As far as the main producers of this high-level pitching talent, Wabash Valley and Iowa Western lead the way with three each in the Top 30. Northwest Florida, Eastern Oklahoma and Dyersburg place two apiece. Four-year beneficiaries are led by Oklahoma and LSU with three, while Ole Miss, Texas and Washington State each grabbed two of the Top 30.
1. Dylan Ross, RHP, Northwest Florida State / Georgia– Turning down significant pro interest as a top 3 round draft talent, Ross went undrafted this past July and made his way to Athens. A power pitcher, Ross can run his heat up to 99 mph, but more often sits 93-96 with ride. He also possesses and out pitch split change in the 83-85 mph range, as well as a similar velocity spiked slider. The 6-foot-5, 260-pounder attended Eastern Kentucky as a freshman in 2020, pitching just four innings. He then transferred to NW Florida State where he developed into our No. 1 rated JC prospect for the 2021 draft. He’s able to repeat a sound delivery with good body awareness, especially someone his size.
