2023 class Update
At the halfway point through the HS season, here’s our update to the 2023 player rankings. There's some movement in the TOP 10 for the first time in a while and the list gets expanded to 175 total players
Full list of 175 - Here
A lot of familiar names in the Top 10, with 1-4 on the list staying the same for now…
“23 C Carson Ohland (Tahoma) continues to display the highest offensive ceiling of any prospect we’ve seen so far this spring while continuing to bring above average tools to the catching position
‘23 Sebastian David (Lakeside), ‘23 Bryce Johnson (Eastlake) and ‘23 Brody Mills (West Valley) hold true as they continue to have standout years for their respective teams.
The biggest riser in the Top 10 is ‘23 LHP Miles Gosztola (West Seattle). The former Future Games participant and Gonzaga commit has been dynamic so far this year while also showing improved stuff on the mound.
In 6 appearances this spring, he’s produced a stat line of 24.2 IP, 5 H, 0 ER, 12 BB and 50 K while leading a loaded West Seattle team to an 11-0 record so far.
Another arm on the rise is uncommitted ‘23 RHP Hunter Lutman (WF West). Lutman was a breakout performer at our Preseason ID event as he led the entire weekend of prospects with a peak FB of 91.4 mph. The 6’5, 220 RHP prospect has immense potential and will be a very high follow heading into the summer.
The next group of uncommitted arms that look like they’re ready to pop this season and into the summer includes ‘23 RHP/INF Paxton Fenberg (Lake Washington), ‘23 RHP/INF Terence Hayes Jr (Liberty) and RHP/OF Braden Hartley (Rochester).
Some of the top remaining bats include ‘23 OF Michael Crossland (Roosevelt), ‘23 C Kaden Ecklund (South Kitsap), ‘23 SS Tyson Schertenleib (Brewster), ‘23 OF Keegan Agen (Marysville Getchell) and ‘23 C Holt Williams (Camas).
