Today we are releasing our initial Virginia/DC Private School Top 10. Take a look at some notes on a few teams from inside the rankings.
- Paul VI takes the initial top spot after defeating St. John's last week and racing out to a 5-0 record. They will be tested in their spring break tournament this week in Las Vegas.
- Highland School has also gotten out to an undefeated record and is looking for a big week in Florida at the IMG Classic.
- Miller School, as expected, has had a very tough schedule early on and has navigated it fairly well. Outside of their one run loss to Benedictine, the Mavericks have not lost a game in state, or in the Mid-Atlantic. They are primed to have a very strong spring in state and have the depth on the mound and positionally to be back in the VISAA I driver's seat come May.
- St. Alban's, like Miller School, has had a very demanding schedule early on, playing ten games in a ten day span, with seven of them coming in a six day span. The Bulldogs stay pretty heavy in terms of volume of games, but they should have a much easier road to navigate going forward.
- Along with our Power 25 on Mondays, we will update our Private School Top 10 every Tuesday.
